Thank you again, Cindy. :)
Well, I then turned my attention to the other package awaiting my itchy fingers......
It is my Scavenger Hunt Swap package!!!! It came from Christy in Georgia. :) This box was just chock full of goodies! Here is the lot of it together (minus one item that Christy is sending separately as it was accidentally omitted from the original shipment):
Here is the breakdown by swap category:
A 100 gram skein of Toes in the Grass hand painted sock yarn in the colorway "The Candy Shop" made by ChickChickStudio. It is 60% Superwash wool, 30% bamboo, 10% nylon and 100% GORGEOUS!! A good friend of Christy's makes this yarn.
Dark Chocolate Almonds!! Wow, this woman has gone above and beyond in choosing things I really like. Dark chocolate is one of my favorites and almonds are my favorite nut. Together they are a dream come true. I've already tried some...... yum!!
These green stitch markers are handmade by an artist local to Christy. Love 'em! :)
Something Related to the Letter "T"
Tea, of course! :) This is some delicious smelling Pomegranate Raspberry Green Tea by Stash. I am looking forward to trying it. I love fruit herbal teas.
Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith. This is hilarious! Its a "directed" journal where you follow the instructions on each page (in any order). Some of them include "Tongue Painting" with the directive to eat some colorful candy and then lick the page. Another fun sounding page is the one that says "Collect your pocket lint and glue it here". :) My kids are clamoring for me to do something from the journal. LOL!
A Georgia key chain. Yay!! I collect key chains of all kinds. Back in 2001 I started collecting state key chains from tourist stops when we took a camping trip from here to Colorado. Since then I decided I didn't have to actually visit the state to collect a key chain. I love this choice. :)
For the Spoiler's Choice category Christy decided on "Something Buffy the Vampire Slayer Would Use". Her description is "Just some cheerful wood knitting needles which also could be used to stake a vampire if needed." LMAO! I'll post a pic of them as soon as they arrive. They were accidentally left out of the original shipment. I can relate... BTDT!
Christy was also sweet enough to include a couple extra goodies not on the list.
Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Daffodil. Someone really read what I love... :)
A fragrant bar of handmade lemongrass soap. This smells so good! I can't wait to use it. :)
All in all, I am thrilled with my first "big girl" exchange. Thank you Christy for such wonderful gifts and thank you Carly for setting up this exchange. :)
