Better Late Than Never

I know that the Sexy Knitters Club did the Simple Knitted Bodice long before I joined, but after seeing it I HAD to make one. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am knitting it in Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Black Cherry Heather. My picture doesn't do it justice, but here is my progress thus far:

What I am NOT looking forward to is picking up the neckline stitches. I dislike having to pick up large amounts of stitches under the best of circumstances, but having to do the math to figure out HOW MANY I need to pick up is almost unbearable. Almost..... I do want to finsish this soon! At this moment I'm actually about 20 rows further down that first sleeve than in the pic, too.

WOW! I can't believe your skills. One of my classes when I was homeschooled was embroidery and knitting. Unfortunately, I didn't really invest a lot into the experience...

My family homeschooled when it wasn't cool - back in the day - there were 6 of us. About half of us graduate degrees from secular universities now. Homeschooling was very successful for our family, so feel encouraged!

Sorry, I was typing fast and left out a word in my last comment. :)

BTW, your pic is pretty cool with only your eye showing. Check out my blogs if you want to be encouraged Jesus-style.

Just leaving some love from a fellow Cape Codder :) I saw your blog listed on a Freecycle message you posted. I'm a knitter/crocheter too :) You do beautiful work. Can't wait to see the finished Wicked :)

I realize that you are just venting your knitting frustrations, but gosh darnit, woman...you really need to get out more. Next time I'm on the cape, leave Bob home with the kids so I can take you for a Mom's night out.
